The client brief was to create a two-storey side extension with an enlarged lounge and utility room at ground floor. The first floor was to provide a master bedroom with dressing area and en-suite. This project was slightly contentious as it included a first floor side balcony which at the time wouldn’t have been permitted development. A reasoned argument was presented to the planning department who agreed and granted permission.
